We support the unification of immigrant families through top-quality legal
services for family-based immigration, provided by trained caseworkers
who are accredited by the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS)
and qualified to prepare immigration petitions for legal permanent residency,
work authorization permits, and renewals, in addition to other special
programs such as temporary protective status and late amnesty. Representation
and advocacy on behalf of clients with INS and consulates abroad is often
necessary. In addition, at our twice-weekly "drop-in" sessions, caseworkers
provide one-on-one consultations with applicants about immigration procedures,
issues, and changes to laws, answering a range of questions regarding
current cases or potential eligibility. .
